Preparing for some guests over Christmas? If you are planning on visiting your holiday home in Mallorca then you may have to consider the prospect of the December weather being a little cooler than August… but that shouldn’t stop the fun. Just follow our guide to prepare your space for winter guests, and make sure to have a wonderful time!
1 Make Room
You can make your guests feel welcome from the moment they walk up to your front door: turn the porch lights on, and put out a welcome mat. If your hallway is normally a bit cluttered with coats, then clear them away to make a great first impression for your guests.2 Christmassy Scents

Light up your home with twinkly fairy lights, scented candles or firelight. Any soft ambient lighting that adds warmth and sparkle will make your guests feel comfortable and welcome. If you have a log fire then be sure to check that you have plenty of wood in stock.
4 Set the Table
Making place setting name cards for your guests is a special touch, it shows thoughtfulness and takes away any awkwardness. It can ease social anxiety and give people a chance to mingle and talk to someone new! Even if it’s just family, it can still be a nice touch and a great way to entertain young family members if you give this task to them. Also, don’t forget to check that you have enough cutlery, plates and glassware to set the table for everyone!5 Table Presents
