Maroon5
Have you been watching “The Voice” USA? The “Move´s Like Jagger” singer Adam Levine is one of the judges and is proving to be a style icon as well as a great performer. Plus, if it is not too sexist to mention, he´s not to hard on the eyes either!
When we saw AD were showcasing his home we couldn´t wait to have a look round to see if his good taste translates into his interior design as well. We have to say the Maroon 5 front man´s California pad is pretty stylish and combines midcentury sophistication with a shot of bachelor attitude.
As anyone who has watched even a little MTV knows, Los Angeles rock-star bachelor pads tend to fall into two distinct categories: Vegas/Playboy Mansion-like fantasies or high-tech and crammed with the latest toys for boys. But the home of arguably the most sizzling rock star on the planet right now conforms to neither stereotype.
His immaculately refurbished 1940s ranch-style dwelling, suspended high above the city, in the Hollywood Hills, and outfitted with classics by Jean Prouvé, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Arne Jacobsen, and other 20th-century-design icons, has a quiet, meticulous air. It is unmistakably the habitat of a man who is confident in his tastes.
“Furnishing a home is no different than going into the studio and making music,” Levine says. “You want to make sure you’ve pared down all the extra details so that in the end, every stitch has a context uniquely yours.”
