Madrid 2012

The Knox Design Team set off  in the early hours of Saturday morning to head to Madrid for the 2012 Interior Design exposé. We travel very regularly to keep an eye on new trends and to bring the best items we can find back to the Home Store. With a 5am start and snow in Mallorca you might imagine that we didn´t get off to the best starts for our team trip to Madrid….

But you´d be wrong! Despite delays, phone calls from loved one´s telling us all about making snowmen on the beach and a busy busy day – we had a great time. With the usual Knox Design Team efficiency we managed to get round every stand and still had time for a well deserved sit down and a glass of wine before boarding to come home.

We noticed several trends for 2012. The first of which was black and white still being a very popular choice.

                               

We also saw the continuing trend for retro, distressed and ecclectic designs.

            

Although somethings were just a bit too….well….distressed!

Of course there was lots of natural, pretty and classic items as well.
